Quick question... what the heck is Justin Timberlake doing on BET???

Anyways, HOUSTON DRIVERS STINK!!!!!! For the second time in my 5 months in Houston I was rear ended. Both times, I was rear ended while at a complete stop at a signal. This morning, I was feeling all good after getting a nice hair cut and hair massage. On my drive back home, the signal turned red, so the cars in front of me slowed down and stopped... I did the same. Then 3 seconds later I hear tires screaching and then BANG... I got rear ended. We pull into a parking lot where I discover the driver is a female senior citizen. Her explanation for the accident? She was looking at the back seat of her car where her grandchild was sitting. Next thing she knew, traffic 'suddenly' came to a stop, and she hit me. Hello??????? traffic suddenly stopped???? WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!! Now my bumper is dented, and I'll probably have to get it replaced. I better not have neck pains any time soon.

To make things even worse, I came home and turned on the television. Now what did I see..... the most depressing episode of Saved by the Bell! It was the episode where Kelly Kapowski (being a typical female) cheated on and dumped Zack by going for the older college guy from UCLA. The following episode continues with Zack being the noble friend (like all guys are) by telling Kelly (the cheater) Kapowski that he'd rather be friends with her than not have her at all. This show contains many life lessons.

Anyways... going back to the car accident.... in the past year and a half, I've been rear ended by a korean fob who just got her license (she was still on her paper license), in the middle of 2 rear endings where the two cars in front of me hit each other as well, a rich man in a Benz at a signal, and this grandmother while at another signal. Driving is stinking dangerous.

My rant on the Lakers and their fans.

First of all, let me start off this entry by congratulating the Los Angeles Lakers and their great run of 3 championships in a row. However, their time had to come to an end, and I’m glad that it was at the hands of my San Antonio Spurs.

However, Laker Fans, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANY EXCUSES! Please spare me and every other human being from those crap excuses about Rick Fox and Devean George being injured. Injuries are a fact of life, and a part of the game. It’s part of the reason why it’s so tough for a team to win multiple championships in a row. The San Antonio Spurs themselves, have been the victim of many playoff injuries. 3 years ago, the Spurs were coming off their first championship. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs after their BEST player (not a role player) Tim Duncan was unable to play with an injured knee. 2 years ago, the Spurs were getting ready to play with LA Lakers. All the analysts were calling it the best series in years, predicting it to go the full 7 games. However, Derek Anderson the man proclaimed by the basketball analysts as the x-factor for the Spurs went down with a separated shoulder, and sat out most of the games with the Lakers and wasn’t the same player. Last year, the Spurs faced the Lakers once again in the playoffs. This time former MVP, and one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players, David Robinson was injured with a floating particle in his back. Once again he was unable to play in all the games, and when he did he was a shell of his former self as a bad fall could destroy his back. However, each year the Spurs walked away with no excuses, but greater resolve to play better the following year. Therefore Laker Fans, no whining about injuries to role players please!

Now as for Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher crying…. WHAT THE HECK!!!!! As Tom Hanks once told ladies in the movie A League of Their Own, “There’s no crying in baseball!” there is no crying in basketball as well. The only players I could accept crying are college players after they play their last game, as many of them will no longer play competitively ever again. When I see these players cry after a NCAA tournament loss, I’m touched, when I see Kobe and D-Fish crying after a loss I’m disgusted. Idiot Laker Fans know that they shouldn’t be crying, but they rationalize it by saying that they played so hard that the loss really hurt. To that I say BS!!!! I’m sorry but nobody will mistake the Lakers for a team that plays hard. It’s appalling to see players who get paid millions of dollars every year just loaf around during the regular season, and the first 3 quarters of most basketball games, before finally turning up the intensity in the 4th quarter. I’m sorry, but the Spurs didn’t cry after they lost the past few years, and Kobe and D-Fish should show some balls and self-dignity by taking their losses like men.

Now let’s talk about Laker Fan. There are two types of Laker fans… those who take the defeats like men, and those who act like little girls. Unfortunately, I’ve met both types. For type 2, damn you little babies… if you dished smack for the past 3 years, learn how to take it. Don’t be a girl… suck it up kids! Like you, I get sad when my Spurs lose, but I don’t sulk like a little baby.. geez… you make all Laker fans look bad… even the classy ones.

But that’s enough on the Lakers and their fans. I just want to congratulate the Spurs and their wonderful display of basketball. They proved to all the naysayers that they can play and dominate in the 4th quarter. They have the NBA’s coach of the year, and MVP. I don’t think anybody dispute that they were worthy of those awards now. This is a team with a bright future ahead of them. With the exception of David Robinson all of the Spurs are at or younger than their prime. This year was supposed to be a rebuilding year, yet they finished with the NBA’s best record, and the opportunity to win the NBA championship. The future just looks better and better for the Spurs, as this off-season, the Spurs will be able to sign another star to play alongside Tim Duncan for the max. Kudos to the Spurs, kudos to Tim Duncan, kudos to David Robinson!

My prediction: The Spurs will beat the Dallas Mavericks in 5 games.

The one joy in my life:

Spurs 2 - Lakers 0

Look who's whining like a baby now.

Phillip Jackson, coach of the Lakers on the Sacramento Kings after a game in March:
"Did you look at their bench and their demeanor? They whined the whole game long. I mean, if they're unhappy with the refereeing every time we play them, they obviously are carrying something inside that says they have to have the referees to win the game or something."

Phillip Jackson, coach of the Lakers after Monday's game against the Spurs:
"The difference was the foul shots," he said then. "They had 35 attempts to our 12. That's ridiculous in a game this hotly contested. Tim Duncan had more than my whole team. I know it was an MVP night for him, but that's ridiculous."

What a hypocritical 'zen' master. Go Spurs!
