Screw the BCS. It does not work.

Cal better get into the Rose Bowl. However, regardless of what happens, the Pac 10 should pull out of the BCS. #2 ranked Oregon was shafted out of the National Championship game because of the damn computers. #1 ranked USC was shafted out of the National Championship game because of the damn computers. Now this year, #4 ranked California may be shafted out of the Rose Bowl because of the damn computers.

Let's make a quick comparison between Cal and Texas.

Cal lost to #1 USC on the road by 6 points. Texas lost to #2 Oklahoma at a neutral site (but in Texas and closer to Austin than Oklahoma) by 12 points.

Points per Game
Cal: 37.3 Texas: 34.9

Opponents Points per Game
Cal: 13.4 Texas: 16.2

Total Yards per Game
Cal: 494.7 Texas: 466.3

Opponents Yards per Game
Cal: 295.8 Texas: 317.2

I don't know about you... but while both teams have good records, these statistics help support the argument that Cal was the more dominant team throughout the whole season.
